This place has the best baba-ganouj (smoked eggplant puree), kibbeh (fried meat dumplings) and falafel. The jerusalem salad , while good, needs crunchy pita chips. The format is just quick and ez, like an express Pita-Inn (Evanston). You order at the counter and can carry-out or sit in the small dining area which is sleak and simple in design.

It just hit the spot between bars, and the prices are dirt cheap. Located on Damen just North of Armitage, this is a welcome addition to the Middle Eastern option of Sultan Market on North Ave/West of Milwaukee which also delivers on excellent carry-out food, but adds a side of "baditude". However, that kind of steadfast "baditude" is the closest we have to trying to make the Imperial Guards smile, so I accept the challenge.
