baby-friendly Manhattan dining

Once I was a New York resident, with access to all sorts of dining, unencumbered by minors -- I never paid attention to whether a restaurant was kid-friendly. Well, I now live 800 miles away and have a nine-month-old infant. We're visiting the city this weekend, and I wanted suggestions for restaurants where a baby would be welcome (highchairs are a big plus). I know general rules of thumb from my time on this board -- go early, consider Chinatown -- but wanted to know if anyone had specific restaurant suggestions for someone who misses NYC dining terribly and wants to make the most of a short trip with her infant.
