Three of us had the pasta tasting menu on Saturday, and we added our personal faves: tripe and tagliatelle with rock shrimp. We prepared by skipping lunch - so we were ready for this meal. And the food was everything we remembered it to be. My boyfriend had the wine pairing - so we were regaled with very interesting tidbits about each wine. There was a wine from a vineyard that Mario Batali co-owned, interesting. My favorite pasta dish remains the garganelli with funghi. Service was unobtrusive. And we were seated upstairs, which was lovely. I even caught a glimpse of Babbo's neighbor in the back opening a window. One thing different was that the waiter didn't bring out the usual chickpeas at the start of the meal - we didn't miss it though. We enjoyed the meal/service/atmosphere and can't wait to go back.
