I've followed Mario Batali's shows on FoodTV over the years and have enjoyed them (even his latest, Mario Cooks Italy, which can be a little silly/ham-my). He comes across as being much nicer and less arrogant than Flay. So I'm wondering, should I get his cookbook ? I wasn't too impressed with his first, but Babbo looks more interesting. HAs anyone tried the recipes there, or even better, eaten at Babbo and then tried reproducing the dishes with the aid of the cookbk?
