Went to a hole-in-the-wall East Indian place called Baba ka Dhaba in the southeast for lunch, with an East Indian friend. Not really a restaurant, there is a counter and some stools if you feel like dining in. The owners only make a particular set of dishes each day, so if you venture here, you may want to call them to see if they are serving anything interesting. For instance, Mondays can have Chicken curry (which I had), Fridays can have Goat Biryani. I really wanted the Goat curry, but I was there the wrong day...sigh...
Food is good, cheap, and plentiful. The naan is really quite good. My East Indian friend tells me the food is quite authentic - sort of a East Indian/Pakistan blend, especially if you like vegetarian.
Word of warning - its not the cleanest place in the world (they mostly do take-out and catering), so if you feel food preparation requires an absolutely clean setting, it would be best to avoid this establishment. I'm not sure if food quality varies on any particular day, but I guess therein lies the challenge!
