? about Baba Au Rhum

I'm asking about the cake/bread in this dessert -- I used Ina Garten's recipe:

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup milk
1 package dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

it rises (twice) and bakes for 1/2 hour @ 375F

My question is, does this cake/bread have a name? If used *without* rum syrup poured over it, without anything, would it be a sort of brioche?
