Azteca Produce: from Salvadorean crema to iguana consumme

Windy | Apr 16, 2006 01:06 PM

Milla's Produce on Mission and 29th next to Al's and Goood Frikken Chicken is no more and has been replaced by the upgraded Azteca Produce.

I counted at least 20 kinds of queso blanco and three styles of crema; gathered up a few favorite Yucatecan salsas; eyed bags of champurrado mix and herbal tea concoctions and quinoa; took a Nicaraguan strawberry extract; and resisted the iguana consomme and Diana snacks.

The produce selection is still quite good for the neighborhood, with low prices for key limes, watercress, and baby bananas. And they now take credit cards, including American Express.

Azteca is at 3282 Mission St in San Francisco
