I would like to thank whoever mentioned restaurant Azerbaijan on this board before.

It is a true chowfind. Yes, they have odd hours - close at 8pm? - so you can only go for an early dinner - and the menu is a bit unbalanced in terms of variety (very meat-centered). But their kebabs (I had beef and lamb mix) are fantastic cooked over wood charcoal, eggplant salad (not even on the menu, just mentioned casually as a side) is great and quite unusual, rice is perfectly cooked, dolma is meticulously prepared and very tasty and the service is very very friendly. Stick with their recommendations - offered freely and in very chowfind terms "this is very good today" - not as in "we are trying to get rid of this", but as in "we are proud of our food and want you to taste the very best of it".

They are located on the north side of Wilson, just before Bathurst (half a block or so) and I will definitely be back.

The decor is next none, but the place is clean, and prices are gentle on your pocket.

The menu is somewhat iranian for those who have not read the posts on this board a few months ago.
