Then grab 'em while you can at the counter of Alexis Le Gourmand (http://www.alexislegourmand.com/).
I've long been a fan of this little understated grocery/deli. Yes, it's off the beaten path a bit (a couple blocks west of De La Montagne on St. Jacques), but as a 10-minute walk from Ste. Catherine street in the downtown core, man, does it offer up some nice choices.
I was in today looking at their sandwiches and the girl at the counter was very giddy about their "new" pulled pork sandwiches. They smoke the pork in-house and top it with a homemade slaw and serve the whole shebang with a nice side of dijon mayo (also made there)... The pork is very generous, moist, and absolutely divinely flavored - honestly, the best I've had in the city (not that there's a ton of competition) and comparable to some good BBQ joints I've experienced south of the border.
The sandwich alone is a measly $6 and it came to $10 tax in served with a generous bowl of fresh gazpacho.
I'm not sure how this place is doing since it's always kinda quiet when I'm in there, but hopefully business is good overall because this really is a gem for everything it offers.
