If you happen to be in Florence I can't imagine there being any place in Florence, Oregon to beat this restaurant. It is right in the touristy warf area and is calld the "Waterfront Depot". A must visit. The three of us ordered several tapas all lovely and 2 mains. The tapas were fingers of duck in a light batter with a thai sweet chili dipping sauce, garlic and herb shrimp with a nice aoli. The mains were the most fabulous piece of halibut I've ever tasted (and I am not that big on halibut) and a Mariscos stew that was to me a fabulous take on blind man's Chippino. Let me put it this way instead of dessert we ordered another stew! This meal was without a doubt the highlight of our entire trip from SF to the top of the Olympic Peninsula and back. Also, the woman who owns and runs the Waterfront Depot is the same lady who started Lovejoy's tea room in San Francisco and has now opened one there in Florence. I didn't eat there but after trying her evening restaurant I can almost guarantee that the Tea Room is top notch as well. The atmostphere at the depot was fun, noisy, casual and yet perfect for the ever changing "chalkboard menu". Enjoy!
