Does anyone know where I can get a product similar to the rich, dark red salsa that is served at Fiesta Del Mar Too in Mountain View? I'm not talking about the tomatillo salsa or the tomato salsa that they also serve, but the thick, smoky red chili salsa they have. I love the stuff, but haven't seen or tasted anything like it anywhere else. When I called the restaurant to ask about it, they told me it used "Chile Diablo" or "Japanese chili", vinegar, green peppers, and onions. My guess is that this is all pureed, as the salsa is not chunky. It looks almost like an enchilada sauce.
