It's chic in NY these days to call a salad "Salade Nicoise", and serve it with a nice piece of Ahi, nicely seared and almost raw inside.
However, In France, you will NEVER get this salad served this way! The tuna is the canned variety! I mean, I like Ahi Tuna, but to me, it just doesn't belong in this salad.
Is there any place where I can get this real deal, Salade Nicoise with a high quality canned or jarred tuna? That's the way folks on the Riviera eat it!
