Authentic Japanese restaurant on north side

Chica Marya | Jun 9, 2005 12:15 AM

We're looking for a good, authentic Japanese restaurant on the north side that is north of Wrigley Field. We need to pick up food for an anniversary, and we're doing this on the CTA and we need to avoid the Wrigleyville area. This makes Matsuya out of the question because there is a baseball game on the day we need to do this.

Our location is Wilson/Kenmore so we'll be traveling from there.

We aren't interested in the trendy spots. Our favorite place for authentic Japanese food and to avoid the Cubs traffic used to be Kotobuki, but they're no longer there. TIA! :-)
