"Auschnitz" - kosher German deli

ForkinMouth | Jan 21, 2004 04:43 PM

Years ago I had a kosher salami-like deli meat (akin to non-kosher "head cheese") that consisted of pieces of various different meats in a salami-like casing. I believe it is called "auschnitz" and was obviously a product of kosher German butchers. This product was likely made in the Washington Heights area of New York, but I haven't a clue where it can now be found, if at all. Does anyone know?
