Auckland and Northern Island New Zealand with toddlers

mrs_kati | Oct 23, 201501:02 AM     3

Hi! We are about to start our 6-week-trip to New Zealand, staying a few days in Auckland and otherwise travelling around the Northern Island, together with our two toddlers. We are looking for any special foodie destinations we should make sure not to miss - keeping in mind that our kids will join the fun. They eat everything, and are mostly good in restaurants, but any recs regarding places which open early/for lunch, are not too crammed and have quick service would be highly appreciated.
We are happy to shape our trip around food destinations (farms with restaurants? seaside seafood joints? cafés on mountains?), as we have often done (e.g., 3 days in Venice planned out based on location of ice cream parlours). Incl. places with stellar coffee!
Thanks so much, kati*
