the auberge of the flowering hearth

Some of you may be familiar with the book by DeGroot which gloriously celebrates the cooking of this quasi-mythical restaurant in the town of St.-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, located in the Grenoble region of France. Though the book itself is nearly thirty years old and Degroot himself warns that the Auberge is more a state-of-mind than an actuality (like Camelot or Atlantis), I'm trying to find out if anyone has, in reality, eaten there ( the auberge exists---Michelin lists it) and what they thought of the place.
Any information will be appreciated as I am planning a trip in the near future to that part of the world.
