Hi Mari-- just curious if you took my (and others) advice about dining at La Super Rica on your trip to Solvang this weekend. Incidentally, I too got some friends together and dined there at around 11:30 on Saturday. Line was minimal (1-2 people) which has never happened before in my 5 years of experience in going there.
We ordered the calabacitas tacos (blackboard special) which was marinated pork, tomatoes, onions and zucchini. Delicious-- and a nice contrast to the other menu items which do not include a lot of tomato items.
We ordered the vegetable tamale (chayote, corn, potatoes, with a cream sauce).
We also ordered the Chorizo Especial and La Super Rica Especial-- always delicious (just as described in my previous posting below)
Only disappointment was the guacamole. Though the avocado was fresh and delicious, it was way underseasoned. I've ordered it before and my memory of it then is the same.
