Atlantic Antic-NO sardines

Mike R. | Sep 26, 2004 10:11 PM

First time in a thirty-year history...there were no grilled sardines to be found at Atlantic Antic (at least between Clinton & Henry Streets).

So devastating to those of us with a "fishy-fingers" and omega-3 jones, it was also a reminder that dessert @ Peter's Ice Cream Cafe is another memory, albeit partially replaced by the respected Steve's Key Lime Pies.

Note: A fascinating sign, "LA MANCHA", hung over the old Meson Flamenco site, where Chilean chorizos ruled the roost today...it was at the original LA MANCHA (corner of Henry Street) where the early Antics' fish appeared, alongside some imported live killer flamenco.

Unless I missed the boat somewhere else on Atlantic, I'll pray for the sardines to return in '05.
