Restaurants & Bars

Atlanta - Cobb

Tonight we tried a new restaurant - Desperados Tex-Mex Cantina, 700 Sandy Plains Road (between Hwy 5 Connector and Canton Road). They have been open for a couple of months, I drive by every day and tonight it sounded good.

My wife ordered a chicken burrito, which she said was decent - not bad, but certainly not delicious. Good mid-range quality, but she will try something else next time. I ordered Pollo Monterey - boneless chicken sauteed with mushrooms, artichokes, bacon and capers in a lemon cream sauce. I ordered it because it sounded interesting, and different from anything I had ever ordered before. It is delicious! I wasn't starving, I had eaten quite a few chips and salsa - and it was still delicious.

We ate outside, because it was so pleasant out - and the restaurant seemed quite chilly when we stepped inside briefly.
