Maybe I'm expecting too much...I don't know. So help me out here, please! We stopped by Athan's (Washington Sq location) last night for a late coffee/dessert. While we were hanging around, we were shocked to see them taking FROZEN croissant out of boxes, placing them on baking sheets and popping them into the oven. These weren't in any type of homegrown box that they stored them in...they were some type of commercial product. When I asked the woman about it, she ignored me twice, and then rudely said "yes, the croissant are frozen".
