Menu had 3 choices for each category.

Mesclun salad with goat cheese ravioli and beef carpaccio (no one ordered this)

Duck breast salad with mesclun greens on top and each corner had a red grapefruit slice (good contrast of flavors)

Chilled melon tomato soup (didn’t try, but my Mom said it was fine)

Beef medallions (tried one piece and it was very tender)

Steamed sea bass with baby vegetables in a lemon verbena broth (very good)

Some chicken dish (no one ordered this)

Something chocolate with caramel ice cream (very rich and I could only eat half)

Chilled rhubarb spearmint soup with tiny chunks of pineapple (my one spoonful was good)

Fresh raspberries and raspberry filling on a cookie like pastry and then cream over it with vanilla ice cream (this was my favorite)

Portions were much larger than I expected. Service was attentive, a little too attentive for my preference. Every time he came over to ask how things were, he interrupted our conversation. I was at Tabla on Tuesday and I have to say that I have not been to another restaurant with better service. Their entire staff is wonderful, attentive, but not overly so. It’s such a fine line sometimes.

Just a quick reminder that jackets are required for Atelier, at least at dinner. My father forgot mainly because I didn’t inquire when making reservations, however the hostess was very gracious and brought over a loaner w/o a fuss. Atmosphere is a little stuffy. Our friend walked in without his jacket on and was told you must wear the jacket and keep it on during the entire dinner.
