Got there early (6pm) so we got a great table on the 2nd floor looking down over the restaurant. It is a beautiful space. Really lovely.

Glazed shrimp with walnuts appetizer was incredible
Raw oysters were cold, crisp, fresh and delicious with a nice mignonette (sp?)
Cold seafood platter - oysters, mussels, langostine, lobster. Good variety, decent amount for $25 (there's also a $45 platter available)
Crab ravioli - tasty pink sauce
Eurochow filet with pomme frites - frites were fine, Waiter said it would be medium rare and it was obviously medium well. However, they did replace it immediately. (It was obvious to the waiter also.) It seemed like it was perhaps deep fried since it had a sort of crunchy crust. It was very good - flavorful and tender.
Semi-freddo with brandy and espresso - very good and they put a candle in it for us (friend's bd)
Shrimp toast with sesame
Caesar's salad - looked better than it tasted
Beef carpaccio - it was actually fine but nothing special
When we asked for a bourbon on the rocks to accompany dessert, the waiter said they didn't have that and pointed out the after dinner drink list. We explained that it was a bourbon and they probably had it at the bar and asked him to ask the bartender. He came back and said they didn't have it and again showed us the after dinner drink list. Perhaps a language gap.
Also, the martinis weren't very cold.
Probably won't go there again, but it was nice to try. Maybe would go for a drink if in Westwood with someone from out of town.
Bill: $250 (7 martinis, 2 after dinner drinks, 3 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 meals, 1 seafood platter, 1 dessert.)
