Saw the grand opening sign for Dog Out on 6th Street, just south of Market, on my way back to work from the Civic Center farmers' market.
They were advertising Top Dog products, and had a cute little menu of frankfurters, kielbasas, calabreses, bratwurst, and more for $3.39 each.
I was tempted. Very tempted. I went inside to find a lonely restaurant worker looking bored behind the cashier. Behind her was the grill, and on the grill were about thirty lackluster looking sausages. They looked wrinkled and dried from having sat in the open, and some had black burn marks from sitting on the grill in one position for too long.
As much as I wanted a kielbasa, I turned around and walked out the door.
Has anyone actually eaten here? The address is officially 1095 Market because it's attached to a fast food Chinese place that faces Market Street.
