Atch Kotch/Archlight

Greg Henry | Oct 21, 2002 02:06 PM

I went to see LAWRENCE OF ARABIA at the Archlight on Sat. night. Knowing we were in for a 4 hour and ten minute movie experience we decided to look for some "fast food" in the area before the film. We ended up at a place called ATCH KOTCH in a strip mall at Vine and Fountain.

The place was very slow for 7:00pm on a Saturday night, but I knew a noodle bowl would be fast so we thought we'd risk it anyway.

My friend and I both had Ramen noodles with your choice of add ins. His "South Sea" ramen was spicy, garlicky and topped with pickled ginger. VERY DELICIOUS! I had a ramen bowl topped with fried pork, egg, sprouts, and seaweed. Also terrific...

The few other patrons were all Japanese and were having what looked like soupy rice topped with tempura. Next time I'll try that...

This is an excellent pre-Archlight dining expereience. You can park once and and have a meal and a movie.

Incidently...the tab for two was $18.50!
