Asuka and does the sushi master make the difference?

Asuka is our local place and an evening with Ken slicing his best is always fun but last night we found it was his night off and we were seated with another chef. Fish was fresh but the fun of the chef giving you his secret dishes wasn't there. But I like the buzz at this place - Echigo is way above in quality but for an almost weekend night feel, this has a joy to it (more joy when Ken is there). Also a handsome serving of saki helped.
