Aspiring Sandwich Artist Seeks Meat

"Like," is far to tepid a word to describe my infatuation with the art form known as a sandwich. I prefer to think of this as a life-long romance, an obsession, even.

I suppose I could roast my own beef, pork and chicken to make sandwiches, (And have, yum. But its a lot of work and I just don't have the time or cash to roast a loin of pork or a big piece of beef or a turkey every time I want a sandwich)

So.... if I were to want to buy cold cuts, where could I get a superior selection of meats appropriate for sandwiches in Brooklyn (where I live) or Manhattan (where I work). For day-to-day, I'm pretty happy wtih Boar's Head, which is at every deli in town, but for special occasions...

But I have this feeling that there may be other worlds of sandwich meat out there... Anyone care to steer me in the right direction?
