Restaurants & Bars

We had dinner at Aspen yesterday. This was our second visit to Aspen. The first time we ate there the food was average, but there were indications that it had potential. Unfortunately, they recently lost their chef and the quality of the food has declined. The one outstanding dish from before was the spinach salad with apples, blue cheese and candied walnuts. This time the salad came drenched in dressing and there were no apples in the salad. An entree of tortellini with chicken was almost inedible. Its a shame that Aspen can't get it together. We need another nice neighborhood restaurant in Fairmount.
