ASIATE for breakfast

do yourself a big favor, play hooky from work and go to ASIATE for breakfast. nice menu, great service, that fine view, oh yes indeed it's all just very civilized.

by all means order coffee. it's illy brand in a french press need i say more? after we ordered and while we waited we were brought a gratis soy-berry smoothie in a champagne flute which was very nice.

i had the turkey hash. it's diced turkey, potatos, herbs, and some etc.--like maybe tomato, with a miso-mustard hollandaise sauce. talk about a breakfast dish made for cold weather. very tasty and a nice twist on the sauce. strangely, this dish had the only asian twist to it on the menu.

spouse had what i think was called eggs any way. the key here was the apple smoked bacon. fantastic and perfectly done, that is not crisp but not soggy either. i can never seem to get it that way at home standing over the fry pan staring it down the whole time! and anyhoo, this was no bacon from associated or key food either.

service was excellent as you would expect. one note on decor and the view. though we sat in the center couch area and i had my back to the windows i could still have a nice view due to a well placed wrap-around mirror. decor has a minimal yet rather 70's-80's style. the space is not as large as i imagined it might be but it is airy and roomy. cost was $60-ish with tip. breakfast here is a habit one could easily get used to.
