Got recommended to Asiate for a prix fixe lunch with great food and good views, but I'm always doubtful of hetel restaurants, as they have to please all their guests, including the ones with boring tastes.
This is a special lunch for us, so I want something with great flavors, without an enormous bill, and not the sort of place that ignores you if you don't buy an expensive wine. Last time we went to MOMA and loved it, if that tells you something about us.
Any other prix fixe lunches in Manhatten that would be substantially better, or should we stay with Asiate? My sister loves the sound of the place, which lends some weight.
