Asian Kitchen (Malaysian, Singaporian, Chinese, Thai food), Milpitas report w/ pics

hhc | Feb 13, 201106:26 AM

We went to Asian Kitchen for lunch because I had a coupon & my co-workers said it was good.

We got there about 11:10am and no other customers inside, they seated us & gave us the menu. We had to wait forever for someone to take our order only after M. went to get someone.

Found out they have 5 chefs in the kitchen: some from Singapore, Malaysia, & China. We got the Lunch Specials M-F 11-3 (except holiday):

Hainanese chicken rice lunch special $7.95 - bowl of soup of the day. Ours was a spicy brothy vegetable soup, 1 small plate of salad to share I guess, side of yellow rice, & lots of steamed chicken pieces. I liked the chicken though it was just meat, would have liked some veggies. Mine had 3 sauces on the side.

M. got Rendang beef $6.95 - a small amount of beef in some kind of sauce. Side of white rice, soup of the day. He liked it.

Roti canai $2.95 - appetizer. One big piece w/ side of curry sauce. I liked it ok.

Satay chicken (5pcs) $5.95 - just chicken meat on sticks. Just ok.

We used the $5 off if over $20 from 99Ranch, we didn't get another coupon that my co-worker got.

I'll probably go back to try Chow Kueh Teow $8.95 next, I have another coupon I can use.
