Asian Garden Mall in Little Saigon (aka "Food Court")

Xericx | Jul 5, 200411:48 PM

I vaguely remember seeing a thread a while back about this place, decided to check it out today.

The "food court" consists of 8 or so fast food type places inside the Asian Garden Mall, which is at

9039 Bolsa Avenue, Suite 312
Westminster , California 92683

just by the intersection of Bolsa and Magnolia in Westminister. Its a fairly impressive little mall with a bunch of vietnamese/asian crafts, a few jewlery shops, and other assorted varities of stuff. A

Although the food court doesn't look outstanding, it doesn't look bad...just your garden variety Vietnamese fast food/steam table type places. Still though, a variety of choices including Lee's Sandwhiches Express (for some Bahn Mi), some boba places, a small pho cafe, and a few places with steam tables with various fried items. I believe there were several bakeries and chinese herb places around the mall as well. It was like taking a step into a mall in Asia.

I ended up eating at Pho 79, which I believe is a chain. It was nestled in the back of the mall, kind of away from the main section where the fast food type places were. The Pho Tai was great. Had the Ice Vietnamese coffee as well.

I'm not well versed in the Vietnamese culinary experience, but this place seemed to cater well to the "Westernized" customer like me. The elderly waiter was fairly helpful compared to some of the other places in Little Saigon I've been to (meaning that he was able to speak English and help out).

Managed to snap a quick pic with the camera phone. Interesting place, I'll go back again.
