Asian Cajun Comes To The Sunset District

The Asian Cajun craze, which swept through Orange County and the San Gabriel Valley, and then on to San Jose, has arrived on Irving Street. Aficionados of this genre no longer have to venture to San Jose or the Tenderloin to get their fix here at S. J. Crawfish. This is the fourth branch of a chain that also claims locations in San Jose (I presume that what S J refers to), Sacramento, and Ho Chi Min City. Menu includes the usual suspects of Cajun style crawfish, crab and shrimp, plus the obligatory sides including cajun fries and sweet potato fries. (I wonder how all this plays in Ho Chi Minh City). However, the restaurant also has a regular Vietnamese menu plus the hybrid Bun Crawfish. S. J. Crawfish is at 2333 Irving St.
