Asia on the Parkway on a Monday Night

I'd like to see this place succeed. There were plusses and minuses. Biggest plus, oddly enough, was the vouchered three hour parking right underneath the restaurant, reached going North on 17th St. (1700 Parkway) Tough to get to unless within walking distance.

Main dishes hit the spot with everyone on our party. My Lobster Cantonese was right on target for $19--juicy, nice presentation, tasty sauce. Friend was very pleased with her lamb Hunan, maybe $14; hubby liked his chicken and snow peas.

Appetizers were very reasonable, but a tad ordinary. Spring roll; cold noodles with sesame seeds and cucumber, soft shelled crab sushi; good hot and sour soup.

Attractive room; attentive service, quiet. There was another room that could have been reserved for a large group. Another big plus was the pricing--very reasonable, as in fancy soups for two, $5, or hot and sour/wonton for $2. My lobster was the most expensive item on the menu, and well worth it.

Not outstanding Chinese food, but very pleasant overall.
