Ashmont Grill near Boston is a winner

Just One Bite | Aug 21, 201504:26 AM     6

Had one night between landing at BOS and getting the ferry to Martha's Vineyard so got a Comfort Inn in Dorchester, just outside Boston proper. (Much cheaper, free parking.) Did a search for oysters, and found Ashmont Grill 1 mile away, with a Thursday "buck-a-shuck" deal! Restaurant has a really nice atmosphere, very nice servers, and we were able to get a table with no reservation at 7pm.

We had oysters, shrimp and clams. All freshm cold and delicious! Then we had some more. Also had the delicious ribs with fries, and the salmon tartare with taro chips. Good cocktails and beers.

There is also a nice patio out back.

If I lived around here, I'd be a regular. Especially on Thursdays!

I think this should be on the Greater Boston board but not sure how to change it.
