Anywhere in NYC or metro NJ where there are cafeterias that serve the eastern european/Jewish faves like luxion koogle (with the cherry sauce), kishka, kasha varnishkes, brisket...and your order prices are punched on tickets handed to you when you enter the restaurant to give in when you leave...like Dubrows (Eastern Parkway/Utica Ave and Kings Highway by the Brighton train), Concord (Jamaica Ave at 160 St, Garfields (Flatbush and Church Ave) and Bellmore (Park Ave at 28 St, Manh.)? Not the current so-called Jewish stuff like falafels, other middleeastern sefardic fare.
Real, geshmat, artery-clogging good fressen essen. Ah Machayah, y'all.
