I rarely think about eating at Artist Point at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, not because the food isn't good, but it just seems to be off the radar. I was up at California Grill yesterday celebrating their 15th aniversary and one of the managers mentioned that Artist Point had just gotten in the first of the Copper River Salmon. So I headed over. It was cedar plank cooked and had a medley of veggies and a light cream sauce. The Salmon dish was the best fish dish I have had in quite some time. It's $48 for a large (I think 16 oz) piece. I was served a big enough piece to split if costs are a concern. It was a great meal. They only have it on the menu for 4 weeks. My server (Izzy, who did a great job) mentioned that some people plan their trip to Disney around the time that they get the Copper River Salmon in, I can understand why.
BTW California Grill has only about 8 days left on the soft shell crab. I recommend the Medusa roll as opposed to the appetizer dish they have.
