Recently moved back to the Boston area and wanted to put in a word for a few places we have enjoyed in the area.
Sabatinos for take out pizza in Arlington-nice thin base foldable slices close to New Jersey style pizza.
Punjab in Arlington Center for delicious Indian-love the variety of spices in different dishes, also a pretty room with graceful service.
Massis bakery in Watertown for Armenian and Lebanese groceries-the best for soft pita and also paperthin wheatbread from Lebanon, also the place where we became addicted to labneh, similiar to cream cheese made from yogurt. We like it mixed with olive oil, salt and dried red pepper flakes. The owner is very helpful, taking time to explain all of the foods and even picking out the freshest goods for you.
Wilson farms in Lexington for produce and cheese-beautiful presentation and excellent customer service, granted at higher than usual prices.
Well those are our favorite spots so far. We look forward to advice from the hounds on any spots for all types of vegetarian food in the area especially Indian and Middle Eastern groceries, Italian bakeries, and Irish pub style spots for a basket of fries and few beers while watching any type of sporting event.
