Arkansas Black Apples at Monterey Market and BBowl

The greatest apples on earth have at last arrived in the East Bay. I bought some at Mont.Mkt. - 2 kinds. Cheaper, larger ones outside in the bins and smaller, organic ones inside ($.89 abd $1.29 respectively). Both are good. These apples are what apples should be. - crisp, tangy (not oversweet) and juicy.

I've been really disappointed with all the apples I've bought so far this year. Paying top price for some at Market Hall Produce made no difference - they were mealy and bleah. Those I saw last week at BB all looked as if they were picked long ago - they actually FELT uncrisp.

Anyway - rush right out and get some of these beauties before their season is over and they disappear for yet another year. They're calling them Black Arkansas at Mont. Mkt.
