Has anybody been to the new restaurant, Aria, in the seemingly cursed space in the Ronald Reagan Building downtown? A friend and I are supposed to have dinner there Thursday evening and he, particularly, gets disgruntled easily (at 55 he's a bit of a "grumpy old man") and is picky about food and especially about service. Is there a big non-smoking area? We both can't stand cigarette smoke. Tom Sietsema gave it a mixed review recently saying that the fish and pastas were the best things. Is that true? Any comments much appreciated!
