Finally made it to the AL's cart last night and was not disappointed - the arepa con queso was very good, lighter than any arepa I've ever had and mm-mm tasty. A couple of questions:
The arepa was crispy on the outside, but kind of underdone on the inside (still kind of dough-y). Is this the usual consistency? This is not a criticism, since I like things a little underdone - maybe that is what makes her arepas so light...
Also, I wonder if anyone knows the names for the other items that she makes. My arepa was about 3/4" thick and 4-5" in diameter with cheese sprinkled on after she took it off the grill. She was also making a snack that seemed to be made of the same arepa dough, only thinner and more like 7-8" in diameter, folded around the cheese and grilled further to melt the cheese - looked really good!
