sister and i were planning on lunching at yucatan taco, but it was closed. starving, we went to the next closest place. and we were happy we did.
from a menu of maybe ten sandwiches, we chose the fajita and feta ones. the best thing about the sandwich is that it's wrapped in a 16" crepe and grilled until hot. i've never had a sandwich like this, and it was a surprise (the menu said "on a thin panini-style bread") because, well, i was expecting bread! the owner said he didn't want to say crepe on the menu because he didn't want to scare off the customers (very blue-collar neighborhood, mostly irish). didn't get a chance to taste the fajita sandwich (she enjoyed it) because i was too busy scarfing down my own feta sandwich (very good). feta, olives, diced tomato, ?.
they also serve cakes, pies, ice cream, smoothies, and coffee. their apple pie was fine.
located on centre street, between weld and knoll (right across from yucatan taco).
