Aquavit Cookbook?

Procrastibaker | Jan 29, 200806:18 PM     1

My husband's family is Danish and we always enjoy Scandinavian food. We've eaten at Aquavit a couple of times and really loved it. I'm thinking of getting him the cookbook for Valentines' Day. But it looks like a pretty hefty/fancy tome-- maybe more show than go. And the Amazon reviews are uneven at best. So what do you think, Chowhounds? I can get it for a pretty decent price on Amazon. I should also mention that we already have Beatrice Ojakangas's _Scandinavian Cooking_ which I love. It is a classic. I'm considering the Aquavit cookbook for some more unusual dishes and just the souvenir element since we did enjoy our meal there so much.
