AQ Cafe

I had a chance for a quick lunch at Marcus Samuelsson's new cafe in the Scandinavia House (Park Ave. - 37 & 38). Definitely worth a try, and it's a good deal. I had a gravlax pizza - good count of gravlax and "Swedish?" guacamole atop some puffy bread with a squid ink sauce drizzled on top. Came with a small salad, a cup of potato chips, and some dressing for dipping the pizza. Price was $6.25. Nothing over $10. They have wine and beer. Service is cafeteria style with real dishes and silverware. Style is Scandinavian chic (as you might expect). Most important, food was good (admittedly limited sample). Also served Swedish meatball sandwiches, Cold sweet baby shrimp sandwiches, herring plates, etc.
