Let me begin this by stating that I've never been to Paris before and will be spending a week (Easter) renting an apartment on Rue St. Sauveur with my wife and two daughters (8 and 12). We all like to eat and have rented an apartment with a small kitchen to defray costs and enjoy using local ingredients.
Thus we are planning on picnics, cooking, and dining out as we see the typical tourist sites. Any suggestions of places near where we are staying or places we are likely to be able to easily find would be most welcome.
Of key importance to my older daughter would be a suggestion of cheeses and cured meats to buy for picnics.
Lastly, is wine ok for a picnic? I've read conflicting advice.
Regards and thanks,
