April Fool's Day Postings

The Chowhound Team | Apr 1, 200804:21 AM

We enjoy a joke as much as the next hound, but the problem with April Fool's postings is that users later stumble upon them in searches (remember, our archives are the "meat" of this site), and don't have a clue as to what's going on. Such postings dilute the chow tips, and our users count on us for highly distilled information.

Since it's our job to keep discussion here relevant and on-topic, we ask that you take pity on your volunteer staff of moderators and enjoy April Fool's Day fun elsewhere...so Chowhound can retain its high signal-to-noise ratio year-round for the good of all hound-dom.

Thank you!
