Appliance emergency - dual fuel v induction v gas only?

MrsPatmore | Mar 13, 201707:05 AM     5

I bought a little vacation house and normally I would have spent months researching every appliance on the market and creating a spreadsheet with specificiations, reviews, etc. before deciding what to buy. I would have already read every Chowhound review along with everything that's been written on gardenweb, eGullet, CNET, etc.

Unfortunately, in this market, I put my offer in last Friday, it was accepted on Saturday and I'm closing this Friday (March 17th).

And I need appliances. All of them. Although I can tolerate the existing appliances briefly, they need to be replaced (this was a flip and they used Frigidaire throughout the house. My contractor is willing to take back the Frigidaire and give me a refund equal to the retail cost minus 10%, provided that the appliances are not used)

I've been looking at the Kitchenaid duel-fuel with downdraft but I don't think the front burners have enough BTUs. I like to stir fry and I have a Blue Star cooktop at our regular house which has 2 25k BTU burners in the front. The Kitchenaid by comparison has only 7.5k, 11.5k or similar. Not close to the BTUs that I'm used to

I have room for a regular 30" range only . . . And would prefer to use a downdraft exhaust system due to space limitations but that *could* be reconsidered

Also looking for speed oven/microwave

Both propane and electricity are available

I would like a "self-cleaning" oven because I'm too old to bend over and scrub ovens. LOL

Please bring on your suggestions for the oven (and if you have opinions on any other large appliance, I'll be glad to hear them because I'm literally overwhelmed having to decided on all appliances within the next week!)

Thanks to all friends, in advance, for your time and kindness in sharing your thoughts.
