Today I had an excellent dinner at Albona, the Istrian restaurant in North Beach. For dessert I shared an apple strudel, with quite a memorable filling of tart apples, pine nuts, and raisins. As the slice was smallish to medium, I wish that I hadn't shared it and ordered one of my own! Can anyone give me suggestions about where to find the best strudel in San Francisco? Any notable German bakeries that sell good strudel? Thank you.
