Need help with an appetizer idea!

Hi All,
I need some help with this one. I volunteered to bring something to a reception following a memorial service next weekend. The organizer asked me to bring "savory bite-sized appetizers". Very specific, eh? The reception is in a room in the church building, following the service, and there is neither a refrigerator or an oven. We're being asked to drop the food off before the service, which means it will be sitting out for at least a couple of hours. So... it has to be savory, it has to be bite-sized, it has to be made ahead, and I guess it can't need refrigeration or heating. So no meat or dairy, I think, even though the room will be air conditioned. I'm stumped. I'd love to ask if I could just bring a nice batch of cookies, but I guess she already has enough desserts, and I certainly don't want to be difficult. Any ideas?
