Stopped in last night for 4 of the tapas (each order is one piece) and an appetizer of seared sea scallops and bbq duck confit. Also requested a pitcher of sangria as they were out of the 1/2 pitchers which were evidentally "a summer special." The beef empada was good if not inspirational, served on a small serving of roaster tomato salas. Similar the smokey chicken taquito was ok. The beef skewer on slaw was actually pretty good, the beef nice and tender (albeit small) and the slaw was slaw. I also had a pork something or another, which was quite good. $4.
The appetizer was just the opposite. 4 scallops, maybe split scallops surrounded a tiny portion of the duck. They say it was duck, but everything was so salty I couldn't finish the dish. $10.
Oh, and the large pitchers of sangria? Apparently the old price on the large was a special too, as the pitcher was $20 this time. Ouch.
The only saving grace to make up for the app and the over-priced sangria was the excellent service provided by my waitress. Very nice, even asked the bartender if they had changed the sangria recipe after I inquired, and talkative to the perfect extent but not intrusive. If only the food was better, I'd return again.
