Wow this place made me want to move in and never leave......brick walls, mirrors, high ceilings with old beams, wood burning oven ...copper pots, .. it all sounds like a cliche but somehow it looks fresh..and gorgeous!! We had an excellent meal here last night: shared fried calamari..one of the best renditions of this tried and true dish in recent memory..with that distinctive wood smoke flavor from the oven. I followed with osso buco that was served with a porcini-flavored grain that I thought was barley but the waiter said was farro..why can't my farro come out so good??? The portion was quite large. My partner had the meatballs. They were very tasty, although a small vegetable or pasta on the plate might have been nice. The meal, with one glass of wine, came to about $75. before tip..pricey but well worth it. We will be back. What a great place for a private party!!
